Privacy Policy
Quigo Legal

When you sign in with Google, Quigo receives only your email, display name, and profile picture URL, and we do not request access to your contacts, drive, calendar, or any other Google data; if you register with email and password instead, we store your email and a securely hashed password and never store or see your plain-text password. We also store the projects, scenes, choices, and videos you upload or generate while using the editor, plus basic account metadata like your subscription tier and AI-credit balance. This information is used solely to identify and manage your account and projects, to display your name and picture within the app, and to support account notifications and security features such as locking an account after repeated failed sign-in attempts.

Your project content stays private to your account unless you intentionally create a public or invite-only Share link, in which case anyone with that URL can view (but not edit) that project's videos and choices, and you can stop sharing at any time by deleting the project so the link then 404s. When you purchase a subscription or a credit top up, payment is processed by Stripe, our PCI compliant payment processor, which collects your card details, billing address, and email directly on its own systems, and we never see or store your full card number, so we only receive a transaction reference, your subscription tier, and your renewal date so we can grant access to paid features. Quigo Pty Ltd, not Stripe, is the merchant of record and legally responsible for your purchase. We do not share, sell, rent, or distribute your personal data, prompts, projects, videos, or uploaded content to advertisers, third parties, or other users, and generating a video may send your prompt and selected media to Runway (our AI video provider) solely to produce that video.

We use one essential, httpOnly session cookie (session_token) to keep you signed in - this cookie is required for the app to work and is not subject to consent. In countries with strict opt-in cookie rules, we ask for your permission on your first visit before loading PostHog (our product analytics provider), which sets a first party cookie scoped to this domain so we can see pageviews, sign ins, project creations, saves, and plays, and improve the product; we do NOT use session replay, heatmaps, screen recording, or advertising cookies, and we never allow third parties to track you across other sites. If you reject or ignore the cookie banner, PostHog is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set, analytics events are pseudonymous (an internal user ID only, never your email or name), and you can change your choice at any time from Cookie Preferences on this page.

You can delete every project and video you created from the Library page at any time, and to delete your entire account, go to Settings then Delete Account, or email contact@quigo.tech if you'd rather we do it for you; either way we erase your projects, videos, and account record immediately and permanently, although a minimal security log noting that an account existed and was deleted (containing no personal content) and billing records required for tax and accounting purposes may be retained for the period required by law. We keep your data for as long as your account stays active, and delete it on request or account closure as described here.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right under the GDPR / UK GDPR to access, correct, export (data portability), or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority; our legal basis for processing is performance of our contract with you and, for analytics, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. If you are in Australia, we handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, including being open about what we collect and why, letting you access and correct it on request, and only using it for the purpose it was collected for. If you are a resident of a US state with a comprehensive privacy law such as California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; Quigo does not sell or share personal information with third parties for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@quigo.tech.

Quigo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age; if we learn we have, we will delete it. If we materially change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the date below, and continued use of Quigo after changes constitutes acceptance. For questions, requests, or complaints contact us at contact@quigo.tech.
